Sayee Privacy Notice

App privacy summary

Sayee is an offline AI translation and face-to-face interpreting app. Sayee is designed to complete translation, dictation, conversation history storage, and spoken playback on your iPhone or iPad where possible, reducing reliance on application servers.

• We do not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or cross-app or cross-website tracking technologies.
• We do not upload your source text, translations, speech recognition results, or conversation history to our servers.
• We do not sell personal information or use your translation content to train models.

Data the app itself does not collect

During normal app use, Sayee does not collect information that identifies you through our servers. Source text you enter or recognize, translated text, conversation history, language choices, and language pack choices are primarily stored locally on your device for translation, playback, history, and app settings.

This local data is not used for third-party advertising, is not used to track you across apps or websites, and is not shared with data brokers. You can delete conversation history, delete language packs, or uninstall the app to remove locally stored data.

Language pack downloads

Before using offline translation for the first time, the app needs to download language packs. During downloads, your device connects to language pack hosting services, such as Hugging Face or mirror download services. Download requests may be processed by those hosting services with standard network information such as IP address, User-Agent, request time, downloaded file name, and error logs.

Language pack download requests do not include your source text, translations, speech recognition results, or conversation history. Network logs for language pack hosting are handled by the relevant hosting service under its own policies.

Microphone, speech recognition, and system voices

Microphone permission is used to record face-to-face conversation audio. Speech recognition permission is used to convert speech into text for translation. You can disable these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

Sayee uses Apple Speech for speech recognition and iOS system voices for spoken playback. Whether speech recognition is fully offline depends on your device, system version, selected language, and installed system language capabilities. If the system needs network access for recognition, that processing is handled by Apple's system services; Sayee does not send recognition content to our servers.

Technical support email

If you choose to contact technical support by email, we receive your email address, message content, and any device model, iOS version, Sayee version, language pack information, and reproduction steps you choose to provide. We use this information only to respond to and troubleshoot the issue you reported.

Do not send sensitive source text, ID numbers, medical records, passwords, payment information, or other unnecessary sensitive personal information in support emails.

Third-party SDKs, advertising, and tracking

The current version of Sayee does not integrate advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, crash reporting SDKs, or cross-app or cross-website tracking SDKs. We do not collect device identifiers for advertising purposes and do not request App Tracking Transparency authorization.

Retention and deletion

Conversation history, language choices, and language pack files are stored on your device and retained under your control. You can delete conversation history, delete language packs, or uninstall the app. Technical support emails may be retained for a reasonable period needed to complete support, handle disputes, or comply with legal obligations.

Important disclaimer

Sayee uses local artificial intelligence models and system speech features to generate translation, dictation, and spoken playback results. Due to model limitations, context, accents, background noise, proper nouns, industry terminology, and language differences, results may contain errors, omissions, ambiguity, inappropriate wording, or semantic drift.

In emergency care, medical treatment, medication, legal, financial, contract, traffic safety, border control, visa, identity verification, hazardous work, or other situations that may affect personal safety, property rights, or major decisions, do not rely only on Sayee. Seek help from a qualified human translator, local official, doctor, lawyer, or other qualified professional whenever possible.
